  • What exactly is our culture?

Culture is hard to define. But Kristen has a proven methodology to define, decode, and disseminate a company’s culture in a way that builds commitment and excitement in the workforce. She was hired by a medium sized tech company to help take an undefined and unclear culture and turn it into something tangible that could be measured, evaluated, and upheld. Through the “culture tour,” she unearthed the nuance and “special sauce” of this company and found the right way to synthesize the data to present a clear and concise definition that captured the hearts of employees around the globe. Then she helped guide the organization to embed this definition into their everyday processes, from recruiting to promotions to training to decision making, and beyond.

  • Career framework - but cooler

Almost every employee wants to know how they can grow their career. Most want to know what it takes to get promoted, and the best way to advance in the direction that is most meaningful for them. At the same time, HR departments need a way to equalize the journey, and ensure that the growth path is equitable and manageable. But let’s be honest, most ‘career frameworks’ are boring AF. The ad agency that hired Kristen knows that, which is why they needed something that accomplished the same goal but in a newer, fresher way. A way that was more aligned with their cool, progressive culture. And Kristen delivered. Literally. She delivered a career framework, and live sessions to explore the framework with the employees. And even the hipster Brooklynite liked it.

  • Assessing leadership effectiveness

It may sound crazy, but sometimes it’s hard to know if the people in our organization are really doing all it takes to be successful. This was definitely the case with a nonprofit organization that hired Kristen to conduct skip-level interviews with staff to get a clearer picture of the Executive Director’s performance. Through an organizational survey and one-on-one private conversations, Kristen revealed the strengths and weaknesses of this pivotal leader, AND unearthed cultural risks and organizational vulnerabilities that helped the Board see the broader landscape of the Foundation. She delivered a comprehensive report to the Board, and provided necessary but uncomfortable feedback to the Executive Director to help improve the overall state of the organization.

“I don't know that [our employees] have had this much positivity and enthusiasm for anything we've ever done. We continue to hear nothing but incredibly positive feedback on their sessions with you.””
